The world's best airline according to the Skytrax Ranking 2019, Qatar Airways, is now part of the Aviationtag fleet with the former Airbus A340-600 with the registration A7-AGB. The A340 was built by Airbus in 2006 with the MSN 715 and the test registration F-WWCR and then delivered to Doha. Qatar Airways baptized the machine with the name "Ras Dukhan" .
Only 13 years after it went into operation, the A7 AGB was phased out by Qatar Airways in May 2019 and transferred from Doha to Enschede in the Netherlands. There the Airbus A340-600 was finally recycled and parts of the outer skin were upcycled for our aviation tags.
Slowly but surely, the number of four-engine wide-body aircraft that can still fly worldwide is decreasing, but with the A7-AGB Aviationtag Edition, a piece of quad widebody aviation history is preserved.
