The McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 with the Manufacturer's Serial Number (MSN) 47813 and the Line Number 312 was built for the British airline Laker Airways and delivered to the United Kingdom on March 24, 1980 with the registration G-BGXG.
The machine was in service for the airline founded by Freddie Laker in 1966 for two years before it returned to the United States. There it was registered on N1854U and was part of United Airlines from 09/21/1984. The machine provided loyal service for a total of 17 years - initially as a passenger aircraft and from September 1997 as a freighter.
As of March 23, 2001, our McDonnell Douglas - now with the registration N326FE - was part of the Federal Express fleet. In 2006 the lease ended and the DC10-300 went back to United Airlines. In 2008, the leasing company Logistic Air took over the N326FE and transferred it to Roswell, where it has been waiting to be used as an aviation day ever since. Welcome onboard!
